	Story Behind the Song i wrote this song to make people think a little deeper about everyday life and the lack of real substance regarding the information that they are inundated with by the media, politics, and religeon. in short no matter what the world is or isn't, we can do anything; we can go anywhere. Lyrics verse 1: i saw a preacher man preaching on TV, so i put my hands upon the TV screen. he held the answers; held them up for all to see. but god don't just give love away for free. he needs his monthly fees to pay for mercedes benz. chorus: we can go anywhere. we can do anything. pull your head out and enjoy the view. we can go anywhere. verse2: i saw the president and laughed at what he said: "nothing beats that presidential head..." ...of the united states, that is. he turned away and smiled and then he walked away. he knows that there'll be better days. he mumbled through the haze. i was actually quite amazed when i thought i heard him say: "what a fucked up world. but we can do anything. pull your head out and enjoy the view. we can go anywhere." bridge: tell me what you want me to do, and i'll probably do the opposite because your chains won't hold me down. my ideas might differ from you, but i'd rather die than give them up; ain't got much time left to fool around. and it goes on around me everyday. round and round ya know it's always been there. verse 3: you know, it's all the same, the difference between who we are and who we long to be. you can pick my brain until your fingers bleed, but to be yourself you really must believe that open eyes will see that open minds agree. chorus we can go anywhere in this beautifully fucked up world. end
