Recorded with former band the Jains, lyrics co-written by James Carter and Craig Daitch. The song is basically about an ashtray, but a gorgeous one at that. | MP3.com CD: Life - buy it!

Story Behind the Song
OK, so it's crunch time in the studio...we had bought a block of studio time and had enough money for one more song. But while going through our song catalog, we just weren't certain which one it was going to be. As we pondered this dilemma, our studio engineer Mr. Mike Roche (Of Thought Industry fame) decided to bail out for a half and hour to pick up a pizza. In the thirty minute time span it took for him to come back with the pep and cheese, we wound up creating a wonderful, wonderful song. Hope you enjoy!!!
Lyrics
Pedistal Built on Broken Glass, Broken.
Ashtray just these ashes, won't you help me sweep them away?
Can I, fall down? Can I catch you I'll catch you.
Remember how I kissed you, remember you'd cry to me, to me.
About something almost too beautiful, too beautiful for me.
can I fall down?
Too beautiful for your embrace, put the pieces back together, pull the pieces from your mind.
cam I fall down?
