    A Ballad of Innocence Lost
    Credits: To Kimberlie

    Lyrics
Attend me young maidens and lend me your ears
As I tell the story passed down through the years
And though its a story ye think ye all know
Ill sing ye the ending forgot long ago.

    [Chorus]
The Song of the Unicorn, White as can be
Hes wild and beautiful, headstrong and free.

Hark of the young maiden for years had a plan
She kept herself pure and knew nothing of man
She practiced her singing and fore very long
Even the nightengale envied her song.
    [Chorus]

In her twentieth summer she went from her home
To dark, quiet forests where Unicorns did roam
For weeks did she search but none did she sight
And so it continued for many days and nights.
    [Chorus]

On a February morning she found one they say
But just as she got close then ran he away
She changed and she labored but naught worked at all
And so it continued through summer into fall.

Till finally one day as she sat neath an oak
The Unicorn laid his head in her lap and he spoke:
"My hearts now your prisner Ive but one escape" he said
So the first thing she knew of man was his horn that left her dead

So never catch a Unicorn, white as can be
Theyre wild and beautiful, headstrong and free.
