Sometimes hope is closer than it appears to be...perhaps the 'looking glass' is more than a vision.

    Story Behind the Song
This is a rough mix of "Looking Glass." It lacks a bass line, and we are also going to add some strings. Also, we will be adding more percussion to give the song more dimensions. Right now, the song is pretty linear, percussion-wise. Additionally, it has not been properly mixed, so some of the background vocals may be too overpowering. I'd say this song is about 75% finished. All in all, I am very happy with the progress of this song.

    Lyrics
    Looking Glass
    -------------

    Verse 1:
I don't wanna be lost no more
I'm cold and hungry and I wanna go back home
Strange enough I know the way to go
It's not like I haven't been there before
    I don't know how
    I don't know how

I can see you through the glass
But are you here right now,
Or am I looking into the past?
    There's no cross there
But your arms are open wide
    You've got a new scar
Where I stabbed you in the side
Can you tell me why you love me?

    Chorus:
I see your face so clearly
I can almost see you smile
    I remember what you're like
But it sure has been awhile
    Please explain why
Your arms are opened up that way.
    I wanna go home.

    Verse 2:
    Can anyone show me how?
Keep your compass, keep your map
I don't need those right now.
Strange enough, I don't need another soul
Man can't take me where I know I need to go
    I need Jesus
    I need Jesus

    Chorus 2:
I see your face so clearly
It's so good to see you smile
I've never seen your arms as wide
As they're opened up right now
    Wrap me up, dear Lord
I will never leave you again
    Oh take me in
    Lord, take me in

    Vamp out:
As the deep calls the deep
    Lord, call me in
I know the way to go
    I have been there before
    Oh, take me there
    Oh, take me there
