Nobody Dies was written in the wake of 9/11 and has a personal feeling about it. It would be an ideal song for an artists such as Vanessa Carlton, Avril Levigne or Michelle Branch. |

Story Behind the Song
The song started out as a tribute to my late father but with the catastrophe of 9/11 it was re-written to carry a message to all. Though not everyone may believe in life after death the song offers a thought provoking message suggesting we should not linger over the loss of loved ones as they have not left but are still in our lives thanks to the love we still feel for them.
Lyrics
Nobody Dies By Julian Baker
Have you ever wondered
What happens after this
Can it all be over,
Or is it forever bliss?
There’s no way of knowing,
Just only hoping
Find what you believe in,
And make it real
So many questions,
Needing so many answers
But I believe,
It’s written in the stars
Nobody dies
We’re just passing through this time
Everyday somebody’s just been born again
Nobody dies
If they’re in your heart they’re still alive
In the end,
The cycle of life keeps going on
(And on and on)
What would happen if I
Decide to fly away
Will I go forever
Or be back another day
Everybody has their
Thoughts of what what would be,
From mine to your god,
It all comes down to faith
(Chorus)
I can feel you watching
Taking care of me,
I hope you’re happy
And finally free
I just want to tell you
That I miss you
And I hope that one day
We will meet again
Nobody dies
We’re just passing through this time
Everyday somebody’s just been born again
Nobody dies
If they’re in your heart they’re still alive
In the end,
The cycle of life keeps going on
(And on and on)
