Introduction
This is not expected to change any opinions, this is only for me to put some closure on my part of OFF AXIS and express my thoughts on what really happened. This also exists to tell my side of the story, rather then the version that's been told and retold countless times in OFF AXIS, to the point in which there is no validity left. This website contains the truth - raw, unfiltered, unbiased, uncensored reality.
I'm sure as even before you start to Hear this, you'll have some sort of immediate bias. You'll probably be some mindless dumbfuck who hates me. You probably heard tons of rumors about what happened, and only bits and pieces of actual fact. I’m Not surprised. There isn't a whole lot of intelligence in OFF AXIS,besides me of course. I've never fancied many people from OFF AXIS to be the thinking type anyway.Other then me that is.
The only thing I ask out of you before you Hear this is to clear your head. I mean, literlly--a lot of you must have all sorts of shit up there: false rumors, ignorance, and who knows what else. The physical manifestation of stupidity, perhaps. That's all gotta go. If you want to hold onto what you really think happened, then you don't belong here. If you seriously think that no matter what I say here, your opinion won't change, then get the fuck out of here. I don't want you here. You have no purpose hearing this if you aren't going to actually question yourself. You really have no place anywhere, but that's beyond my control.
Conclusion
This story is a perfect example of how a good idea can fail. We had all the right motivations, we had all the right causes. There truly was a big bad enemy, and I was the good guy. There was the enemy propaganda machine, which convinced everyone that I was bad. We had almost everything finished, and for a while I was just about to release.
The sad thing is, sometimes the good guys lose. And as far as I'm concerned, I lost. Our failure was a result of two things: the Matt’s intention to destroy OFF AXIS and NICK’S consistantly changing his mind about which environment we should be developing in.
So I'm leaving OFF AXIS. I just stopped caring. I know that there still is a cause out there, that one day maybe someone will stand up to Matt Green and Nick Schnur. Maybe one day someone will develop a truly friendship that will crush OFF AXIS. But I just don't give a shit anymore. There's just too much politics, too much bullshit. I'm above this. After all, it is just a stupid band.
I've realized that I'm better then this. I shouldn't have to deal with the shit that's been dealt to me. The public screwed me big time; I've been targeted by the head honcho of the idiots for extermination. His army of ignorant morons did nothing but try to destroy me. And did not succeed.
So here's my message to anyone who's hearing this: fuck you. Even if you weren't the ones who lied about me, even if you didn't spread fake rumors, even if you didn't hate me.. you let this happen. You let the idiots get control. You never once spoke up.
And if you were one of those who defended me on my behalf(and most likely got banned from OFF AXIS)... we're victims here. You've probably been labeled by the crowd as a lamer, but I've decided that I'd rather be a lamer then an unthinking mass of hating assholes.
So fuck you, assholes. Fuck all of you. I'm so fucking sick of your bullshit. If your goal was to make us quit, you've won. If people like you were going to follow OFF AXIS, then why would I develop songs for a bunch of assholes like you. I'm just so disenchanted by this whole situation that it's not worth my time to deal with it anymore. I'm above all of this: I don't want to live in a world that's inhabited with assholes like your kind. I don't want to talk about this, I don't want to think about this, I don't want to live in your narrow-minded reality full of hate and ignorance.
And I'm sure that there will be people who will pick this track apart, pointing out all my little errors, or how I repeated myself, or perhaps I had some grammar errors. Maybe you'll post various excerpts from this track, taking things out of context, in an attempt to mock me. Fuck you too. You definitely need a reality check. It's not the minor trivialities that matter. It's the concept in whole. You can insult me, call me a whining baby, etc. But the one thing you can't do is stop me. I'm just going to keep doing what I feel like doing, and if you have a problem with that, then fuck off. I'm sorry my opinions don't fit your ideas of what reality is(or should be). But maybe you should step outside of the box and re-evaluate yourself, because if you stay locked into your own opinions for too long, you will never grow.
So that's that. I'm too free-spirited to be bogged down with little things like this. I'm going to move on, something I should have done a long time ago. I'm going to start some bigger more important projects. I'm just going to do the things I feel like doing, and I don't give a shit what you assholes do. Go ahead, make fun of me, insult me, hate me. I don't care. Just remember that I am someone who stood up for what I believed in, and it's people like you who hold back the future evolution of the human race. It's people like you who killed Galileo for expressing his opinions. It's people like you who never stopped Hitler from killing millions of innocent people. It's people like you who drove those Columbine kids to go on a shooting rampage at school. It's people like you who will keep on hating, who will perpetuate the circle of ignorance, who will hold back the human race from achieving it's true potential.
