Story Behind the Song
The song was written based of a feeling I got from the guitar picking at the beginning of the song. I asked Aaron to let me record his playing and I wrote the song after. It took about one full day to write.
Lyrics
“Are You Waiting?”
Here I come, here I come,here I come.
Are you waiting for me?
Here I come, are you there, here I come.
Are you waiting? Are you waiting for me?
Gone away, oh so long.
Will you be there?
I’m on my way home.
Morning Flight
I’ll be getting there, late afternoon.
Feelin sorry now.
and I take the blame, for all that we went through.
I was stupid then,
Just a little girl, young naive and cruel.
I’ve got to make it right.
I am on my way, know what I have to do.
(CHORUS)
But will you be there when I get back home?
Will you be there?
I’m on my way home.
Pushin through these clouds
high up in the sky
same place I left my mind before
the day I threw it all on you.
I’ve beaten myself down
a hundred times and more.
I curse those childish things I do.
The way I ran out,
I was runnin fast, but now I’m runnin back.
(CHORUS)
It was a girl who ran,
but I brace myself,
a woman’s walking back.
Never more nervous in my life.
I will not hesitate.
I’m getting closer now
with every step I make.
(CHORUS) x2
