	Story Behind the Song Written in late 1998 or early 1999, "Similes for Love" just happen to be in a notebook I found in early 2001. Another goofy and easy track that Smith and I nailed the basics for in one take. Lyrics Love is a lot like S@#$ Always warm and sometimes stinks But you cant live without either one Love is just like napalm Liquid flames arent always fun But good or bad, you know theyre gonna burn I can think of a million similes for love Each ones a little strange, but you see where Im coming from Theres only one simile I want there to be Its the one that says that you like me Love is like eating bran You spend hours on the can But if you do it right you get your system flushed Love is a lot like fish Not the act, but the smell sure is But if you take a shower, its really not that bad Love is a lot like sugar (oh so sweet!) Love is a lot like water (good to drink!) Love is like a stereotypical homosexual male (oh so neat!) Love is a metaphor
