If we all just keep on growing, what a wonderful world it would be...... |
CD: From Out Of The Ashes

Story Behind the Song
Growing was written in 2000, but was perfected in 2001. Derek Reynolds did a masterful job of recording this track and we managed to cut it in 2 takes.
Lyrics
It's our right to incubate and cultivate
Seeds of change within our lives
It challenges our motivation, regulates our dedication
It's one of our primal drives
The nemesis of progress is an enemy to we
Who with our tender, tiny shoots, barely clinging by their roots
Keep on digging in 'till we succeed
If nature's kind, our lives will unwind
In a pleasantly predictable way
We'll realize our latent powers
Show the world our fragrent flowers
Say what we feel we must say
But never shall we underestimate our great fortune
And be it ever accidental we will reach our full potential
I can tell it's gonna be real soon
We just keep right on......
We'll keep right on......
Growing.......
[instrumental to bridge]
A little water daily
Some sun and the air
That's all we need really
And sweet loving care.......
Grow on.......
Grow on.......
When we perfect our chemistry, that's when we
Flourish, flowering freely
Reaching for the sun, you know we've only just begun
And only time will tell what we will be
We'll face a lot of parasites who don't care what we need
But our will is fortified, we will reach the other side
Don't care when or how much we must bleed
We'll keep right on.....
We'll keep right on.....
Growing.................
Keep Growing............
Keep Growing............
[instrumental to end]
