This tiny song was part of a twenty-five or so minute concept piece that I had put together fifteen years ago. There are about six more pieces to it.
I took the song to Doug Milton at "Cyberella Studios" for mastering and noticed that the lead guitar that I had added was slightly out of tune.I should say that Doug really noticed it. This man is the very, very best.
Anyway, For some reason,I had speeded the song up a half a step and the lead was out of tune. I have very bad hearing and my sense of pitch is way out of wack.I have to use electronic tuning devices constantly to keep in tune or i'll just go on,willy nilly and Doug will have to Glare at me..My biggest problem notes are the "g's","C,s" and "b,s",probably all of them,in all honesty.
The song is short, simple and leadless. The mastering is flawless despite my penchent for one takes and no rehersals.I hope you enjoy the simplicity of it and realize what great mastering can do to something that was basically an experiment. I like it very much and hope you do. It reminds me of the little rock songs that got play in the sixties. The rule that songs had to be in the two minute range. Do you like the mastering? Let me Know.+Not enough going on?

Story Behind the Song
It is about how difficult life is,PERIOD.There is no lottery out there for serenity and love and money and success.
One of my all time favorite baseball players, "Brooks Robinson" once said that any player who goes to bat to hit a homerun
and not just meet the ball, more then likely,is not going to hit one. To sacrifice himself for the team. A single, walk or maybe a double, well anyway, h'es not going to hit a homerun if he thinks he is.
life can be lived if I only try to meet it and let it carry me.
Watch the squirrels and birds and all wildlife. they do not check out of there enviroment. I love suburban wildlife. "bring a Sandwich"!!!
Lyrics
It's such a long ride to the end
Bring a sandwich and bring a friend
To the house behind a house where
a house once stood
Bring a copy of the "Book of the Good"
There was this girl who was standing
in line, for this man to bring her a
happier time
In the days of the storm, in the days
of the card
Computer chips, then a trip to the bar
So take a record of events from the past
You'll think your living on th seat of
your ass
Watch the world go fluttering by,while
the birds all sing and the sinners, they
die
Take a lesson from mistakes when you
failed
Never a dog or cat or sqirrel, they
bailed
They stayed with it,they loved it on
earth
Think of these things for whatever
they're worth
