    Story Behind the Song
For all those people who believe everything they see, hear, or read in the newspapers, TV, and on the radio. I got the inspiration one-day when having a conversation with a friend of mine. A political topic if I remember correctly. He was trying to convince me of something just because he read it in a newspaper article. I had to explain what the editorial section in the newspaper really was. There are too many people out there confusing fact and opinion.

    Lyrics
    GET A LIFE

There's a lot of people looking for something
They just don't know where to go
Clip them coupons & flip to the headlines
See what those headlines want them to know

And all those crazy people talking about Elvis
Said they saw him at the picture show
Well Elvis died in a hotel, by a toilet
Won't you please let poor Elvis go

They sit at home at night and turn on their big screens
    To some holy rolling' show
There's ol' Jimmy, tears streaming down his fat face
Asking you to forgive his soul

And al those crazy people talking about Jesus
Said they seen him on the Swaggert show
I hate to be the one to give you this news flash
Jesus died a long time ago

When it's over and your sweet life is ending
What will you have to show
It doesn't matter what you did, or what they thought about you
When it's time you'll go alone

And all these crazy people talkin' 'bout Elvis
They said they saw him at the picture show
Well Elvis died in a hotel, by a toilet
Won't you please let poor Elvis go
What a way for the King to go
