	Story Behind the Song A song about running into deadends and starting over. I wanted a song with a traditional blues progression on the CD. The lyrics came pretty easily. I spent about 2 weeks working on this, mainly the lyrics. Lyrics Had some good days down in Houston But every boomtown has to bust Fell on hard times in the oil fields Watched the rigs all turn to rust And I've spent half my life starting over Guess one more time won't be that rough Lost everything in Richmond Not a dollar to my name I packed up and moved to Dallas But my luck still hasn't changed And I've spent half my life starting over They say without pain there is no gain Better Days might be just over the hill But I just can't get past these blues Every time I start to make a little change Along comes yesterday's news I've heard it said so many times You can't keep a good man down And I know that must be true But right now I can't get off the ground And I've spent half my life starting over Got to get it right this time around
