Story Behind the Song
The motivation was a girl that we all loved at one time or another and her problems. The lyrics mean absolutely whatever you want them to mean. We wrote it, recorded it, overdubbed vocals and mixed it in one evening (so there).
Lyrics
Pretty little girl, dropping out of high school.
Smoking cigarretts 'cause she thinks it makes her look cool.
Staying out late, she ain't never comin' back.
She's a one-way ticket on a railroad track.
Walking down the street chewing bubblegum Daddy's little girl's trying to start some fun.
Wants a coca-cola, wants to take a walk Looking for some action not the same small talk.
Pretty, little girl, she's never gonna stop...
Hangin' on the streets growing up to fast.
So much too soon, it's not ever gonna last
Try to make it home before the sun comes up
But you can't lay down 'cause you gotta stand up.
Stays out late,
Never coming back,
She's a one-way ticket on a railroad track.
