	Story Behind the Song This is the third and final movement from the Winter Concerto, which is my second such piece for piano and orchestra. It is performed on digital instruments, since orchestras are pretty expensive, and appears on my CD titled: (not surprizingly) "The Winter Concerto". The CD also contains two other orchestral pieces, "Small Town Suite" and "Four Improvs". The concerto was written and recorded over a period of about six months, beginning in the winter of 1993 (hence the name). I had not intended to write about winter especially, but as the piece developed, it came out sounding very "Russian", as the winter of '93 was fairly brutal, and it seemed to be coming out in the music.
