Trip to Herve's (McGoldrick)/A minor reel.
It took us about a year to figure out that the jazzy-sounding tune Sonja O'Brien taught us wasn't about wandering into some little French town called Gervais. It's actually a happy Michael McGoldrick tune written about his wacky tour compatriot, Herve. Sorry Michael. But by the time we knew the truth, we'd already conjectured up a whole new story, involving a smoky Breton pub, a mysterious woman and an unclaimed oud. And frankly, we like our story better. |
