The singer imagines a story about why God would sing the Blues and what His purpose might be. The advice is Psychological and Spiritual. In Mythology, these two avenues were always inextricably intertwined, allowing poets, singers and storytellers unlimited access to all ways of being Human.

    Story Behind the Song
This song is about a Lonely God who's waiting for His flock to return to Him. He misses us. He aches for us. He calls to us. We are His children and He wants us to be together. But, He has given us Free Will, so we have to "choose" to be with Him. Imagine a parent anxiously awaiting a wayward child to return Home. It's the same for God as He awaits our return. He needs us to be complete, as we, of course, need Him inside our own lives to mature fully.

    Lyrics
    When God sings the Blues
He sings for you and me
    When God plays the Blues
He prays for all to see
That He is part of us
And We are of Him too
    God sings the Blues . . .

    When God sings the Blues
    He does for all mankind
    Wants us to wake up
    To rise and shine
    His heart is our own
His love a part of all
    We are the Mighty Army
That He has come to call
    God sings the Blues . . .

    (chorus)
    For those who stay inside
    And want to just survive
    Their hearts beat only sorrow
    They are not alive

    and
    God sings the blues
    God sings the blues
    God sings the blues
    God sings the blues
    Oh..Oh..Oh..Oh..
    God sings the blues

    When God sings the Blues
    To all concerned and open
He says: "step this way please
    Your heart won't be broken
I am the light and path
    The love you shall remember
I am all that you face
For a heart made more limber"
    God sings the blues . . .

    (chorus)
On Life's main stage we rise
    Hearts beat and trumpets blare
    Sorrows are left behind
    We march on full prepared

    and
    God sings the blues
    God sings the blues
    God sings the blues
    God sings the blues
    Oh..Oh..Oh..Oh..
    God sings the blues . . .
    God sings the blues . . .
    God sings the blues......
