This song was written while I was thinking about how easy it is to just write "X"-mas, instead of CHRISTmas. "Jesus Is The Reason For The Season" is a reminder. |

Story Behind the Song
This song was recorded in November 2002 at Rick Sanders Recording in Tracy, CA as a part of a larger work called "Tracy Musicians Wish You A Brighter Christmas". Gary wrote this song while he was thinking about Christmas and what it means. The song proclaims that "Jesus is the Reason for the Season". This song marks the first release for The Gary Tittle Band - with a new CD already in progress. It was recorded after only one false start and finished in one take after two simple rehearsal sessions of less than a 1/2 hour apiece. Greg Darling is featured on V-Guitar, with Philip Tittle on Drums and Jim Raasch on Bass. Gary Tittle plays guitar and sings on this track.
Lyrics
Jesus Is The Reason For The Season
by Gary Tittle
It's just about the time for football to begin,
They've hung up decorations before Halloween could end,
Baseball is nearly over, but it's Christmas time again;
Jesus is the reason for the season.
Family and friends will crowd our little home,
We'll eat and open presents, but we never were alone,
Jesus is the reason for the season,
Jesus is the reason for the season.
(lead break)
There's a lot more to see besides our Christmas tree,
The baby that was Jesus is now the King of Kings;
Jesus is the reason for the season,
Jesus is the reason for the season.
