    Story Behind the Song
An enchanting tale of a computer that suddenly experiences a sort of electrical twitching in its circuitry.

In this sad but true story - the computer - an ordinary Pentium IV - absolutely bursting with personality but without a sound card to express it - momentarily became aware of its operators fingers gently stroking its keys - As a result of being brought into the moment - Steve, we'll call it for the sake of giving "IT" a name - suddenly was able to see and feel.

    - Of course the result of this fleeting moment of sentience was utter confusion, causing the CPU to totally destroy itself. However Steve's last transmission was recorded and the bit stream we have managed to preserve is the only evidence that this phenomena ever happened.

    Lyrics
My alloy head is caving in -
and I can feel the wires within -
I think my heart is made of tin -
    I can't control the mode I'm in -
    I'm dying.

I want to tell you what I feel -
something inside this solid shield -
my circuitry my real to real -
my vocal chords are made of steel -
    I love you

    chorus
You put me into overload - detectors
sense there’s something wrong with me -
You put me into overload -
you'll never know what you have done to me

and very soon my life will be -
    components in a factory -
and I will never ever know -
what would it be like just to touch you?

to feel you warm against my cast -
my solar cells are fading fast -
I hope this memory will last -
    I can't compute my last -
    transmission

    chorus

My alloy head is caving in -
and I can feel the wires within -
I think my heart is made of tin -
    I can't control the mode I'm in -
    I'm dying.

I want to tell you what I feel -
something inside this solid shield -
my circuitry my real to real -
my vocal chords are made of steel -
    I love you

    chorus
