	Story Behind the Song “Juke” is a newly recorded collection of mostly early songs I had written and have continued performing over the years. It’s sort of my ultimate early demo collection. They are a product of my beginnings as a songwriter, and a new student of American Music. I’ve always dreamed of creating music that helped people dance and bring them closer together. I felt the importance of documenting material that may have otherwise slipped thru the cracks of my early developing years. Most importantly, I wanted to make this record fun and playful and reflect the spirit and enthusiasm in the songs. I hope to create the possibility for folks to come together, dance with each other and celebrate the joys and pains of being human. I recorded this CD with my ingenious, enormously talented friend Harry Aponte in his home studio in Rochester NY. We played all the instruments ourselves and worked very quickly. We didn’t have the best gear or the most ideal recording situation but we had loads of fun and tried to let that shine thru. The amazing diversity and eclectic nature of both Harry’s and my musical and cultural background made this project all the more special. I believe that this collaboration brought me a fuller understanding of the beauty and power of American music process.
