Story Behind the Song
James has a new hobby. He carries a mini-disk recorder with him on the road, and takes 'audio snapshots' on his travels... This tune started with paddling sounds from a canoe trip in Ontario's beautiful Killarney Park. Sandy and James wanted to find a song that would provide 'respite' and 'peace' to add to their collections of songs called "one in five"-- a fundraising project for NAMI in the U.S. ( the National Alliance for the Mentally Ill). The tune is a prototype for an entire instrumental CD, due out next year, and it's being used as a soundscape for a dance work as well.
