Ah a UK artist, I love these guys and gals. There's nothing quite like a track from the them, I think there is something in the water that makes a UK artist great there really is no other explanation...could be something in the genes. Add another runner to the list of great Electronic Artists from the UK....Chris Welshman.
Although "Fraction of Life" is self-classified as Melodic Trance, don't be fooled, this song has enough staying power to put a racehorse to shame. A very lowkey beginning leads to a club worthy beat encased with a power synth. Some of the sounds are very simple, but are pulled off with the multi-layering of synths and FX; an added piano creates just the right cohesion of musical harmony that travels through the song. Club hoppers and Ravers rejoice, once again there is hope for your musical needs.
Mr. Welshman's production leaves almost nothing to chance, "Fraction of Life" is very well produced and should be finding its way into your favorite destinations soon.....if not, complain!
Very little criticism on this song, although the intro may suggest a darker sounding song, you'll soon forget all about that. There are a few effected sounds in the first 30 seconds of the track that caught my ear a little tenderly, a slight level adjustment on those is all I can say.....an overall good work from our friend from across the pond.

I am still enjoying "Fraction of Life" by Chris Welshman, I have been playing this song for a very long time, and I am still hooked! The thing I like about this song the most is how you really do not know what to expect from the beginning when playing it for the first time. This song really progresses into a very vibrant song with amazing synths, very exciting and I cannot get enough of it! I have this song on repeat and don't know when I will stop! FRaCTioNEnD3R! See what I am talking about!!

"Fraction of Life"
Very intense intro. Sound like a cyber motorcycle reving up. Very suspenseful. I like the choir at 1:00. Nice and melodic. Piano - my favorite, nice build at 2:45+. I bet the bass tone would be out of control on a big club system!!!

Listening - "Fraction Of Life" - Starts out ominous, mysterious... but then kicks your ass into high gear... very european sounding synth lines... nice run on the synth, voices? .. hmm. very well written, keeps the listener enticed to hear more and I'm only 1:46 into the track. What am I seeing, picture a scene out of that old show Miami Vice, speedboat going across the water, heading to the caribbean, cops and drug dealers... smoke filled rooms.. deals getting done, money changing hands... and then .. at 3:05 someone is shot, and the deal goes bad, and the dealers are on the run... cops in high chase... but... there is no time left, the bad guys live on to fight another day... that's what I saw... very well timed and arranged track. Liked it.

Time is an abstract concept, but I know what you mean and there is never enough. Your life is just the blink of an eye use it well. Any way a "Fraction of Life" is well constructed it is dramatic in its presentation. It rises, falls, has many different textures and different moods taking you on a good ride threw a "fraction of life" unlike many songs that are monolithic. They start and go nowhere. You have good direction and some good instincts. Be passionate it makes just a fraction of life seem like an eternity their isn't time to be anything else.

...this is defiantly something I could hop about to with heavy flashing lights and bass up full.

....like the way it start off frantic then breaks into the synth groove...ah yes...low keys come in then the choir...yes my friend..I am floating across the floor with my best groove on.

Starting with a deep, swirling bass drone and some futuristic sound effects, Fraction of Life cranks it up to a driving, infectious beat and melody, with some sparkling bells in the background.
Welshman's composition and production are bright, powerful and thoughtful. Check it out...

"Fraction of Life" Great production value! Nice pizzicato pluck strings blending into the sequenced part, great build up, love the break at 2:11, the horn sound would sound even better with some reverb &/or delay &/or filter sweeps! something to take it over the top, and make it your own blend. Great job!
