Kenya-Lee calls this style, "Urban Folk".
She tells a story of innocence challenged.
Just as the little girl in the story faces the reality of city life New York so, too, did our nation face a harsh reality on September 11th. Neither the girl nor the nation will ever be the same as a result.

Story Behind the Song
Kenya-Lee was born within sight of the area we now know as ground zero. The images in the song are taken from actual memories. She wrote this just a few days after September 11th 2001. It is basically a 'live' recording of her singing and playing guitar fingerstyle in a single take. Bert added the other tracks.
