Story Behind the Song
Kind of a jazz oriented blues song, Microwave woman is an original song written by Jamal about missing the old days when wives actually cooked on a stove. Moodswing is the the band, with Jamal on vocals and playing harmonica. Moodswing plays in the central Ohio area at many clubs, and consists of three 20ish young men, and Jamal, a guy who's been around the music scene for many moons. Jamal actually knew and played with BB King in Texas before BB made it big, no kidding! Texas is what you hear in Jamal's voice, one of the few remaining true blues artists who can relate to the way it was down south many years ago.
