	Story Behind the Song wrote the music in one shot just noodling around on the acoustic guitar one day in germany in 1982, as i best recall.playing in G i found an accidental shift on an Asus chord and went from there!! had lots of lyrical hooks through an exwife and a few girlfriends, but i finished it "back home" in northern georgia about 2 years ago (2000)as a tribute to my ever loving wife diane, who suffers me well!! Lyrics I've had days when i couldn't win, stood up just to fall down again, been stuck in the mud on a dead end road, without a clue of which way to go, but it's so good to be with you, yeah it's so good to be with you, sailing away.....when i'm down on my luck and times are hard, crawl a few feet just to fall back a yard, i can still see your smiling face, nothings ever gonna tack your place,(CHORUS) (BRIDGE)they can turn day into night, try to tell me that black is white, say it's snowing on a sunny day, but nothing can change your smiling face,...friends may come and friends may go, how are we supposed to know, but i know you and you know me, there's no better place to be (chorus)
