Story Behind the Song
Who aint got trouble, everyone could do a version of this song. I stopped with three verses, but when you listen you'll realize that you could write a new verse everyday. The original title was "Changed My Name to Trouble" but being lazy I shortened it. I recorded this song at Hott Studios in Melbourne, Florida. I thought I was finished with this song till Jim Essery came in and recorded it with me. I told him what key it was in and we recorded it. Jim was with the Allman Brothers Band for a long time. He joins me on stage often.
Lyrics
Got trouble in the middle,
Got trouble way down low.
Trouble sneakin up the side,
Trouble everywhere I go.
Changed my name to trouble,
Cause trouble dont bother me.
Well my first name is trouble,
My last name says just want let me be.
Caused all kind of problems people,
Every where I went.
From the low man up in the gutter,
Down to the president.
I said I changed my name to trouble,
Casue trouble just dont bother me.
Well my first name's trouble,
My last name says just want let me be
People talk about their trouble,
They talkin about me,
Say they got all this trouble,
Trouble just want let em be.
I said I changed my name to trouble,
Cause trouble just dont bother me.
My first name's trouble,
My last name says just want let me be.
