	I had the riff in my head for this song. I ran into my old friend Tony (Wild T) Springer who recently returned from working with David Bowie in the U.S. Tony also has a tribute band to Jimi Hendrix called "Fire", he was impressed with the production we were doing at songWorks studio and quickly came on board. I thought this tune would be a perfect vehicle for Tony to show off his great guitar style. I played him the riff over the phone and soon we were recording this track.

	Story Behind the Song Wayne Brauer, Tony Springer and myself came together on the evening of Good Friday of this year. "Rotting Away" was such a fun riff/rock song that it took no time to do. The lyrical content is basically about wasting our lives away, are our priorities in the right place?. I believe our heads were in the right place spiritually when we recorded this. Tony doing vocals along with myself really added this haunting mystic to the tune and his great guitar work really took it over the top. DJ, Colin Shannon at Creative Radio told me when he plays this track it feels like Jimi Hendrix himself came back from the dead just for this number.
