	Story Behind the Song this is a cynical look at "on the surface" songwriting. as a listener, how do you know if they're pouring it out, or just trying to add sincerity & depth to a song even when there really isn't any? how would you know if they were lying or not? Lyrics i can say it here but not there. is it easy to do in a song? can i bring myself to realize what i've been saying all along? are these words vague & shallow? is it babble to fill the tune? is it really just by chance if it means something to you? in my life, from time to time, i tend to find that i can still lie. i sing to myself what's wrong... about why you won't take me back and any other little quality that i find i lack. another verse, more of the same. nothing is resolved. it's barely worth remembering the words that are involved. don't forget cliches. when it rains.... c'est la vie... i won't forget you baby...
