	Story Behind the Song When I was 15, I went through a period in my life where I had become very religious. I studied the Bible, went to church twice a week, the whole nine yards. But I started to question the whole thing after being confronted by some more fundamentalist Christians who told me that everything I was doing, no matter how much good I thought I was doing, was going to get me sent straight to the Big Bad Burning Place forever and ever. To me, that seemed utterly ridiculous and downright sadistic. The song is pretty much about that; about the realization that no matter how much faith you have, it may never be enough.
