Story Behind the Song
I wrote this song with my two sisters, Jen and Amy. We've spent hours writing and singing together and have a number of collaborative songs. Halfway is one of my favorites.

I must have been dreaming when I saw you there that day
Something in your smiling eyes invited me to stay
Laughing, Loving, Living carefree, we survived the rain
but the smile from your eyes is faded
Now I feel the wind of change
Where did the old you go
The one I used to know
I need to know where you are
I'll meet you halfway
I need you to stay
I don't need anyone but you
Tell me how you feel
Our love was so real
Where's that someone that I once knew
Looking at these photographs of the way it used to be
My old car, your new guitar, you were playing a song for me
The days are filled with emptiness, now you seem to drift away
Maybe if you come back now, it would make it all okay
And I will try
To be the girl you need
So take my hand
I'll let you take the lead
