| This is a song of ressurection; the death and the rebirth. Composed with somewhat traditional blues instrumentation the lyrics branch into a spiritual statement of reaffirmation. |

Story Behind the Song
Following the crushing end of a relationship Armond blamed himself for all that had gone: with the relationship, the weather, global politics, famine, floods, hurricanes, and potholes in the alley. Oh, and black holes, fires, and asteroid that killed all of the dinosaurs.
But one day a bright new life arose from the ashes and wrote this song.

No Excuses!!
Words by Armond Joy Blackwater & Friedrich Neitzche
 Music by Armond Joy Blackwater
Recorded in March 2002 Live at The Cafe' Be At, Neptune Beach, Florida

I don't make no excuses, baby
For bein' the way that I am.
I never made no excuses, mama
For bein' the way that I am.
So, forget all your fussin' at me, honey
And just accept me as I am

You know a frog ain't afraid
 Of croakin' all night long.
 And a bee ain't ashamed
 Of buzzin' 'round and 'round
It's clear you can't change nature
And you're sure as hell ain't gonna change me

 You're talkin' rules
Rules you say I have to obey
 You've got the tools
The tools you think make me your slave
Ah, you're playin' a dangerous game girl
A game you're surely gonna lose

I don't make no excuses, baby
For bein' the way that I am.
I never made no excuses, mama
For bein' the way that I am.
Just forget all you bitchin' at me, honey
And just accept me as I am.

 See the big picture
 Baby!

 Yeah, your body's lean
 But, you ain't no queen!

 Idiot or Genius?
 Fool or Prophet?
 They'll call me both,
 After I'm gone....

 *"O' man take care
What does the deep midnight declare?
 I was asleep
And from a deep dream I awoke
 And declared
 That all joy wants eternity
 Wants deep, wants deep eternity."

*from Thus Spake Zarathustra by Freidrich Neitzche.
