Story Behind the Song
The story behind this song is the same as most of my stuff. I was just noodling around with my guitar, out came the main riff and within fifteen minutes the song was finsished. The lyrics took a bit longer, maybe 20 minutes *LOL*
I was going for that "big machine of steel coming down from the skies to destroy all signs of life". It meant going through a whole bunch of Judas Priest lyrics, such as Exciter, Electric eye and Painkiller among others. Very tongue-in-cheek.
Lyrics
Battering ram

 Feeding on the screams created
 buried down below
A thousand years or more I've waited
 my eyes in darkness glows
 Charging through a desert ocean
 summoning the call
 forged in fire, blinding motion
The weak and poor shall fall

All fired up, all systems go
Soon out of sight way out of control

 Plunging through the heavens
 darkness will prevail
 Engine running hot and reving
To succeed is not to fail
 Exploding furnace, hellish thunder
 feel the mighty blast
 travelling from way down under
 the future now is past

Faster than light, covered in blood
All kneel and praise the metal god
Walls coming down, a human battering ram

Put out the fire, kill the cattle
 leave the weak behind
 Armour plated in the battle
 bloodlust in our minds
 Children staring, women crying
 this carnage never ends
 Never been afraid of dying
 and here I go again

If life has no sense theres glory in death
The battle commence take your last breath
Walls coming down a human battering ram
