	Story Behind the Song We got together at Sound Investments Studio in Scranton, PA; and walked out 16 hours later with a 14-track spoken word CD backed up by some really eclectic music. It was a great time, and unlike anything any of us had ever done before. . . Lyrics Exodus . . . Reaching for your perspective and your pants at 4 AM, you try to slip into both and out the door without waking her. Sometimes there’s a moment of hesitation; and you stand with your hand on the doorknob watching her sleep. Her skin glistens like aquamarine in the blue light of the digital alarm clock; and you catch yourself thinking how small she looks, and how empty the bed looks without you in it. . . Outside the predawn air closes in around you like warm felt, and you fumble quietly through your keys, painfully aware of the silence. Even though it’s the middle of summer the car feels cold and Octobery; and you stare up at the diffuse light through the dew on the windshield, imagining what you’ll say the next time you see her. . .
