    Story Behind the Song
The Lavalamp Prophecy is the second song of our new album Lost in Love. The 12 instrumental tracks are related to a short story with 12 tracks.
    Here is chapter 2:

    2. The Lavalamp Prophecy

The Sound on Sound Studio was indeed located in a bad part of town. What should have been the main entrance looked like a back exit, flanked by garbage bags and trashcans. She rang the bell and waited. After a while, a big, bearded man who didn't look like he had a sense of humor opened the door. "I have come..." she wanted to say, but the man (probably Fish Futter) interrupted. "Yeah, I know. Come with me."
She followed him through a long passage filled with instruments and what had at one time probably been instruments, all stuffed onto shelves. She stepped into a large room filled with electronic equipment from the early days of recording. Big reel-to-reels with giant spools, standing open for service. Large racks competing for space in a bunch of cubicles. Grey devices with huge black handles, regulators and levers. "This must be what the inside of a submarine looks like," she thought. "You can sit here," Fish said. He pointed at something that may once have been an engineer's chair. She sat down. On the table was an object covered with a cloth. Red light glowed through from beneath the cloth. With a yank, it was removed and Layla saw the prettiest lava lamp that see had ever seen. "I'll leave you alone now. Just close the door when you go," she heard in the distance. She was mesmerized by the swelling red bubbles that rose slowly through the violet liquid, only to sink again and passionately rejoin the main blob. One of the bubbles was particularly beautiful and seemed to fill the whole lamp. It hung in the center and grew still larger. Shadows shifted in it, fleeting, ever-changing images. Gradually a form became visible. It formed arms and legs. The round body and extremities were covered in a brown, furry substance. It could have been a teddy bear, but where the head should be there was perched a monitor. Suddenly it's screen flickered, lines of numbers and illegible symbols passed over it. Flickering again, the head of a teddy bear appeared on the screen. It's mouth moved as it spoke, but the words seemed to resonate directly inside Layla's head.
"Hello, Layla. Do not fear. I am the CYBEAR. You have been chosen to save Love. That is why we have chosen the name Layla Love for you. You will experience certain adventures, and each one will make you stronger: If you survive. Some of these adventures are of an erotic nature. If you are not yet 18 years old, or you live in a country where this sort of thing is illegal, you must leave this page immediately. If you are prepared to take on this assignment, then press ENTER now." Layla pressed her finger on the ENTER key. The screen flickered again, and there appeared the familiar Windows 95 message:
This connection has been terminated due to an illegal function. Please consult
your internet service provider if this problem persists.
"Damn Bill Gates," thought Layla, who knew from her own computer that she couldn't get around that error message. Now the lava lamp light began to stutter and went out completely.
"Shit, shit, shit! Now what?" She screamed, as she stumbled through the dark passage towards the exit.
