First song from my upcoming CD: Which Planet Next? Really trying to keep it simple, unimposing, accessible, back to my Beatle's Basics 101. About the age old dilemna in relationships - opposites attract. Contrary to what George Lucas might think, we don't have be clones of each other to be happy. |

Story Behind the Song
Opposites really do attract. I've found in life and love that we need to compliment each other, not compete. My lady Karin is all I'll never be and I love her for that. I'm the clown to her intensity. I'm the vivid dreamer to her pragmatic mind. It works...we fight...but we love.
Lyrics
We all have issues, we all have woes
We all get blisters on our fingers after the show
We’re not so different, we both feel pain
You’re not the only lonely princess who gets wet in the rain
So why is it such a disturbing fact?
Like a school bus stuck on a railroad track
A pebble in your shoe, a monkey on your back
Let me be your Balancing Act
You say you’re perfect, well how about that
I’m just the kid who strikes out before he even gets a chance at bat
You’re top-shelf liquor, I’m pagan pink
Go sip your fine champagne while I hover above my kitchen sink
So who let in these drunken fools
The bar’s still open but no empty stools
Einstein's theories played to Murphy’s rules
Let me be your Balancing Act
Balancing Act (I’ll be your…)
Balancing Act (I’ll be that…)
Shingle rattlin’ on your bayou shack
Let me be your Balancing Act
Some people like to call it destiny
Some people like to use the phone
So maybe I’m just some walking tragicomedy
Remember me – when you’re all alone!
So why do I never seem to win?
The house is waiting, I’ll give it a spin
One can of tuna, one Charlie’s fin
Ain’t life precious
Love’s such a Balancing Act
And here comes another disturbing fact
I’m that school bus stuck on your railroad track
You’re a 747 on my camel’s back
Let me be your Balancing Act
Balancing Act (I’ll be your…)
Balancing Act (I’ll be that…)
Shingle rattlin’ on your bayou shack
I will be your Balancing Act
Let me be your Balancing Act
Let me be your Balancing Act
