You know that feeling you get when you realize you're making something harder than it needs to be? Well, sometimes that's what I feel life's like. Pedalboy - encouraging kids everywhere to drop out of life. Goodness, i'm sorry everyone.
CD: the life and death of a dream
Credits: Music, lyrics, and performance - Matthew C. Good

    Story Behind the Song
The saddest songs ever written always seem happy at first glance. At good old Greenville College here in good old Illinois, I was getting a little depressed, as usual. When this happens, I do one of two things: I either take a nap or write a song. Those are the best therapies I know of right now. This is probobly one of the best translations of feeling that I've ever done. Its whimsical because it's about release. During this time I really had a dream that does not appear that was meant to be. Its hard to be rejected and denied, but the feeling of release you get when you let go is inner tears and outer laughter. Enough emotional dumping... But that's the story behind it. Most tracks recorded in one night in my college dorm room.

    Lyrics
Dear sirs, or two whom it may concern:
I'm giving up on everything. I'd like to think that I was right for once when I chose to let go at last. Here's your two weeks warning. Here's my letter of resignation, so let life happen to me.
Sorry madam, I believe I dropped the ball. I lost it when I saw that my gains were much too small. Hey you, man... Please appologize for wasting all my time! Here's your two weeks warning. Here's my letter of resignation, so let life happen to me. I don't care what happens to me... whatever happens to me...

    Dear sirs,
    Sincerely yours,
    Me.
