This track is amodification/reconfiguration of Louie Armstrong's work. The song is driven by Maurice's raspy vocals and Carlton's poignant lyrics, "I see blook skies, holy cries...I see hungry children with no medicare...mothers steady trickin and no father's there..." The genius of the song is that it exploits the gap of inconsistent space between Armstrong's message and the actual pain endured by Black people during that time. Musically, this track keeps the agony of Louie's horn, bur burns it with a fiery mute and cracking drums. |

Lyrics
Wunderful Wurld
from the M.U.G.A.B.E.E. album Earth Tones
What a wunderful wurld today/what a wunderful place to stay/they say Jesus is on his way/musta missed him cause I'm living in hell today/seems a helluva price to pay/angels giving their life away/with the hopes it'll be OK for the boys and girls/what a wunderful, wunderful world
I see hungry children with no medicare/mother's busy tricking and no father's there/houses full of crack hypes searching for that next high/brothas selling it to them not realizing the plight/ I see father's taking advantage of young innocent boys/ mother drowns her children sits and cries with so much poise/ all in the name of the almighty one/ I see no one truly feels the cycle of the sun
What a wunderful wurld today/what a wunderful place to stay/they say Jesus is on his way/musta missed him cause I'm living in hell today/seems a helluva price to pay/angels giving their life away/with the hopes it'll be OK for the boys and girls/what a wunderful, wunderful world
I see politicians telling all sorts of lies/ starting wars to see how long can bloody flags fly/ on winds of chaotic tendencies that surely bring demise/ like burning oil for energy and polluting our own skies/ I see big brother's eyes peeking probably since 1984/ 41 shots at the body of an african brotha no threat reaching for no gun no breath no more/ than a mere identification card/ police must really have it hard/ to feel like every colored man wants to pull on their hoe card
What a wunderful world where girls feel like sex is the same as love/ and the birthplace of the saviour reduced to rubbles and craters/ your neighbor maybe a traitor/ so tools of identification displacing the nation away from the have nots and the have gots have forgot the notion of being united/ we divided by race, color, creed, sex, and greed/ we no longer need each other/ brothas ain't even brothas/ we decided to go it alone/ as we roam the land of the free/ the home of the brave/ talking about the land of the decieved/ the home of the slaves/ graves were dug/ innocent bodies dropped and buried/ brothas carried away to jail for the L/ more new jails in hell than schools/ warehouse food goes to waste/ we breathing polluted space/ the race makes the man a color confused clown/ we down but we not out/ we in but we not of/ we see but we don't follow the leader cause death he seeks/ he speaks with a forked tongue/ my people deaf and dumb/ we young numb universal cosmic boys and girls/ in this wunderful wunderful wurld
What a wunderful wurld today/what a wunderful place to stay/they say Jesus is on his way/musta missed him cause I'm living in hell today/seems a helluva price to pay/angels giving their life away/with the hopes it'll be OK for the boys and girls/what a wunderful, wunderful world
