Story Behind the Song
The inspiration for this song is over 200 years of death, maiming, heartbreak and family destruction due to America's 2nd Amendment. My POV is that what was neccessary 200 years ago is now outdated and should be changed.

Ain’t It Time

1a. Put all the men with guns on the moon,
Oh it wouldn’t be a moment too soon;
Ship em out away into space
With the rest of the problems we cannot erase
Well that’s the way I feel till we change a law that is just insane
The right to a gun is the right to kill
Stop trying to find something else we can blame, we can blame
2a. Was over two hundred years ago this illusion we call freedom began:
Came over here with dreams and guns, stole the land from the Indian man.
And then we made every iron machine, every weapon and power and speed,
Bought slaves, raised meat, sprayed the land,
Drilled oil for our SUVs
Br. And it’s not just a man’s disease
Women they shoot guns too,
I can’t tell the law from a lie
We’re all outlaws right through.
2b. Thirty thousand are shot every year in America*, land of the free,
Ain’t it time that we turned it around,
Changed the law, changed our destiny, our destiny.
