Story Behind the Song
Each Chirstmas brings a sleighful of new attempts to create a modern Christmas novelty song. Each one of them pretty much stinks. Our standards for Christmas novelties is so low, we've accepted "Grandma Got Run Over by a Reindeer" into our playlists. This song has all the sappy lyrics, the nursery rhyme melody, and the blatant attempt to "enhance" the Santa Claus story.
