    Story Behind the Song
We had been listening to a lot of Brazilian jazz, especially the Stan Getz/Joao Gilberto album. We had the music for a long time, but we went through several sets of lyrics. Finally, one day I picked up a book of poems that my little brother Daniel had written when he was in kindergarten. We took a poem called Pussy Willow and used it for the first stanza, then wrote the rest of the lyrics in a similar style.

    Lyrics
    I know a little pussy
    Her coat is silver grey
She lives down in the meadow
    Not ver far away
    She'll always be a pussy
    She'll never be a cat
    Her name is Pussy Willow
Now what do you think of that?!

    I don't like choppin' onions
They make me want to cry
    I'd rather slice up apples
So i could make a pie
    When workin in the kitchen
I like to cook a feast
    But eatin lots of spinach
Is what i like the least

    Chorus
Well you can lead me to water
    I'm a gullible horse
But when I'm lost in the woods
    Will you feel remorse?

The trees have lots of branches
The trees have lots of leaves
    My shirt has seven buttons
    and two fantastic sleeves
One time I ate some dogfood
    It didn't taste so bad
But it wasn't the most fun that
    I have ever had

I eat my peas with honey
I've done it all my life
    They do taste kinda funny
But it keeps them on my knife
I wake up in the morning
    I work all afternoon
    I wish I were an astronaut who's
    Walkin on the street

    Chorus

    Chorus
    Will you feel remorse?
    Will you feel remorse?
