	Story Behind the Song A dark time in my life that changed a lot of things for me.. I refer to the cross I bear and the thorn crown I wear. The cross is of course the load we bear for thing we have done and wish we hadn't, and the thorn crown refers to my pride that keeps me from letting go. Thinking the crown was gold and it is was not. People see your crown for what it is.. It is you who are the last one to realize it is made of thorns..
