    Story Behind the Song
This song was mainly Sean's creation. I'm not sure how he came up with it, but I do remember that he came up wiht this song and three other great demos in about a week and greatly intimidated me with his speed and quality in songwriting. The original demo for this song was the version that appeared on our promo CD. It was recorded at two other sessions over the next year, but neither did the song justice. I consider this current version(recorded Oct. 2002) as the definative version with only one thing lacking...Sean's vocal. I decided to record the vocal for this track simply because I wanted to get it released and because at the time I wasn't aware if Sean would be willing to come back and record the vocal. I recently spoke wiht Sean, and he seemed willing and eager to get his voice on some of his original Draft Riots tracks. Thus, this version is only temporary and if all things go well( as they seem ot have a dificult time doing...but oh well) we will post a new and final version of this song with Sean's vocal.

    Lyrics
I will salute the up and coming years
Here’s to the love, here’s to the tears
We’ll lose it again and fall right overboard
Into the days when I wanted more

    How can you say that?
    You don’t even know me
    How can you say that?
    You can’t even show me

    Maybe when we’re dying
    Maybe we’ll stop trying
To live a life that only brings us down
    Maybe when my star falls
    Maybe I’ll forget it all
Get on the road and never to be found

If there was time I’d learn to change the past
I would go slow if I went too fast
