	Story Behind the Song Palm Leaves was one of those tracks that had so much going on, so many little details that I knew it would make an ideal remix. The original beat for Palm Leaves was drum & bass, so I reintroduced this in the remix and had it phasing in and out. The main bassline/riff also deserved a higher profile, so again, I made that the main element of Palms Left. It was my original intention to have a female voice delivering the spoken word in mandarin (an ex girlfriend) but dropped the idea in the end and instead took some treated vocal elements from the original track as well as an outtake that seemed to fit nicely. It was a very quick turnover, most of the elements were there from the original and I had something approaching finished in a few hours. I left the track for some time, not thinking anything more of it, until I rediscovered it on my hardrive, loved it and polished it up to where it is today.
