This is a traditional rhythm and blues rock tune with a good beat, cute lyrics and a gutty lead vocal. I get some help here from my friends Howard Jeffrey singing the lead and Ralp DeLucia on lead guitar. I play the rest of the instruments.

    Story Behind the Song
This song is based on a neighbor I used to do yard work for. She was an elderly lady who had a classic car sitting in her garage and she would tell me stories of "the good ol' days" when she would take it for a ride.

    Lyrics
Down at the home down on fourth and main,
    There's a little ol' lady who's a little insane.
Sweet and tender like cooked spaghetti
but behind the wheel she's like Mario Andretti.
She drives real slow but when you try to pass, she gives a little cackle and hits the gas.
Oh Lord, the lady sure can drive.
    CHORUS:
They call her Lead Foot Mama.
    She's a highway bomber.
They call her Lead Foot Mama, better watch out for her.
They call her Lead Foot Mama.
    She's a highway bomber.
Terror of the town, scurge of the nursin' home.

She's got a '62 chevy not a speck of rust.
Four barrel carb never seen no dust.
Pump jump struts and four on the floor and if that ain't enough man there's plenty more.
A bored out eight that's dynomite,
'cause this lady moves the speed of light.
A fast fever, a hot wheel driving machine....yeah she keeps it clean.
    CHORUS
Well out one day for a Sunday drive,
Mama moved like she was barely alive.
Up from behind came a suped up 'vette.
He started laughin' said "punch it grandma!"
Well Mama grinned like a pig in heat and left an inch of rubber right there in the street.
Man that 'vette never had a chance.
    CHORUS
