    Story Behind the Song
What motivated me with this song? Hmm . . . creativity. Listening to new music and coming up with ideas I guess.I wanted to coming with something that is mysterous, but emotional. Somthing real powerful.

When I first came up with the song, I didn't expect it to be this long of a song. It's like two parts in one. I came up with the intro first. I was messing around with chords and came upon the Ab chord, I was like whoa, this is eerie. I let the chord ring and picked a couple other notes with that chord. The bass has a lot to do with the song, especially the beginning. With the bass and that melody, that's the signature lick of that song, along with the chord arppegios and weird sounds in the background.

When I was recording the clean guitar parts, we put the amp in the bathroom and ran a microphone to it, to give it a more acoustic sound. And I also used egg shakers to with the first part.

The first solo was really basic to come up. Simple. In the middle of the song, I was missing something. The song then had to kick ass then. So that's when I came up with the second part. This was first my song with time signature changes. First it's a 12/8, which I love. The time changes was a pain to program in my drum machine. It goes from 12/8 to 18/8, back to 12/8, then 21/8. It's cool, and I had to add harmonies in in too or course. The guitar solo just kicks ass. Near the end of the solo I added a harmony just to spice it up a bit. It's cool.

This song took me about 7 months to come up with. I was very picky with this one at where everything goes. The result: GOOD TUNE!

    Enjoy
