Story Behind the Song
This song was written at my home in January of 2002. I wrote it in a few hours, and recorded it in the studio in July of 2002. It took approximated five days to record and mix. I still consider this a rough track though, I would like to redo the percussion at some point and perhaps add acoustic piano.
Lyrics
Why does it seem that I don't know
What you've become of where did you go
You carry your pain from that time in life
You took the blame and held it deep inside
You changed your face, erased your place in life,
and who you were you kept denying.
In time so fast, murdered your past I think,
you killed yourself without dying
Why does it seem that we both know
how it feels to lose someone so very close
'Cause you have blocked out what you've been through
But I don't doubt it wasn't easy to be you
You changed your face erased your place in life,
and who you were you kept denying
In time so fast murdered your past, I think...
You know what I think
And it's so sad that those you had are gone,
couldn't accept what you were trying
In time so fast murdered your past, I know
you killed yourself without dying
Why does it seem that way
It's hard to believe..
You killed yourself without dying
