John-Flor Sisante on piano, me on violin. Fidelity's kinda bad because I had to edit it to make me more audible. But a 20 minute, bluesy marathon. Helluva time. |

Story Behind the Song
This is a recording from a 3-hour marathon jam session, lasting from around 8:00 PM until close to 11:30 PM on Tuesday, November 12, 2002, with John-Flor Sisante in Pratt Institute’s pizza shop here in Brooklyn. It was the highlight of my evening. We had just gotten done playing a ton of pop requests for a couple people in the shop, and I really needed a jazz fix by this point. So John gave me one. I don't know if he made up the riff that starts it out or if it's from an existing tune, but it was pretty much forgotten by the time we started soloing. Never had this much fun on my violin. Too bad I was an idiot placing the mic, and all the edits I did to make myself somewhat hearable makes this sound really bad. Hence the name...I was going for Low Fidelity, but when I was shortening the filename, I liked how "lofid" sounded. Close to twenty minutes in this bluesy badmamajama. And of course, John sounds great.
