Story Behind the Song
For five years I worked on Wall Street. I hated it from day one. So,on my 23rd birthday,February 2,1990,I quit to become a full time musician. I decided to simply get up and move to Pennsylvania without warning and at the same time, leaving some unfinished business at home like bills. Mom and Dad were not happy and rightfully so. Each time I would visit I would be greeted with a hug and a bit of sarcasm attached. Sort of a "Welcome back to the REAL world son!" This song is my explanation of why I had to leave. It's rather selfish but it applied at the time. Recorded from November 1993-March 1995.
