This is a song recorded in our garage with Raymond Conly on drums. It is a pretty simple song. The vocals are distorted intentionally. It is funny how many people think that just because we are an amatuer band we would let a mistake of that magnitude go. However this is an unfinished demo so it is still pretty rough. This song represents the simplistic rock element our music, but that is only one side of the band. If I had to pick a song to define us as a band this would not be it, but I still like it.

    Story Behind the Song
The lyrics take aim at anyone who has ever told someone else that they will never amount to anything. It is about realizing that what people say to you and think of you don't amount to anything compared to the amount of control you have over your own life. The song also takes aim at someone who wants you to believe that you can trust them with anything but truely is out to do nothing but help themselves. The point of this song is to make it known that the best thing to do is break free of anyone who tries to beat you down, or who manipulates your feelings for their own gain. The song was written quickly, probably in less than an hour. It was a feeling that needed to be let out so it came together easily. The basic tracks to this song were recorded in one take. There was an overdub of a second guitar and seperate vocal overdubs. There was no splicing of individual takes or anything fancy like that.

    Lyrics
Life falls down drip by drip
    into the waiting drain
    seems such a mindless trip
    hidden decorative stain

    (Chorus)
    Let it pass me by
    I don't even care why
    Look to the future
    Living in the past

Try to tell me how I feel
Say to hell with my ideals
I would have gave you anything
I would have gave up everything

    (chorus)
    (solo?)

I will see you some day
Maybe I'll still feel this way
Why must you lie to me?
Why tell me what I want to hear?
Is this how you will spare me?
I'd rather not spend life hear

    (chorus)
