Story Behind the Song
I love westerns so one winter afternoon I decided to write another song.
This song takes place in the old west where a sheriff is shot dead by a
ruthless killer named Blackjack Jed.
The sheriff comes back from the dead to avenge his death and take his
killer with him. This song was written in our ranch house by Halbrite
Sask. sitting next to our woodstove. I wrote the lyrics and did the musical
arrangements in about 2 days. We did the recording in about 3 days.
