	Story Behind the Song Sat down with my Taylor one afternoon during a pathetic Cowboys loss (one of many). Wanted to do a slightly popish song in 3/4 so I started Breathe. The title isn't anything special, a thousand bands have songs named 'Breathe'. It's mostly about my life and how I seemingly want to be someone else most of the time. Then I remember I'm forgetting the important things. I went through about 40 takes. It was written in October of 2002 which is exactly 20 years past October of 1982. I was 9 then and used to try to make myself stop breathing to see if I could. I also used to stick wire coat hangers in electrical outlets... well I did once. Lyrics [Verse 1] Take a deep breath. Breathe out my friend again. Stop and think it over what's over and change your plans. Stop thinking in circles of dreams, and believing the way it should be.
